This is a summary of what occurred at GCW Most Notorious 2024, which Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) held on May 18 at Harrah’s Casino in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
A child breaks into the ring?
A child in the audience gives the middle finger to Mance Warner, who is appealing before the game.
During the Mance Warner vs. Marcus Mathers match, a child who had given the middle finger before the match broke into the ring and confronted Mance Warner.
Apparently this child is the younger brother of Marcus Mathers. (Not true).
Joey Janela to try again for GCW World Title?
Just before the Joey Janela vs. Megan Bane match began, Janela asked GCW General Manager Matt Cardona for a second shot at the GCW title at “CAGE OF SURVIVAL 3” on June 2.
Cardona, however, dismissed Janella’s request, responding, “The last time you had the chance, you failed, just as you did at AEW.” Shortly after this exchange, Megan Bane entered the ring and the match began.
The match ended in a no-contest, and when the brawl in the ring subsided, only two men remained, GM Matt Cardona and Joey Janela. Cardona finally agreed when Janela insisted on challenging for the GCW World Title again in the ring.
This seemed to confirm Janela’s title challenge at CAGE OF SURVIVAL 3 on June 2, but the current champion, Blake Christian, is currently competing in New Japan Pro Wrestling’s BEST OF THE SUPER Jr. 31. He has now won four in a row at the time of writing, and if he makes it through the league, a semifinal match is scheduled for June 3 at Korakuen Hall. If Blake makes it to the semifinals, what will Janella’s challenge be?
Nick Gage to fight with Zila Fatou
Zilla Fatu, who had defeated Brosky Jimmy, was attacked by John Wayne Murdock after the match. At that moment, Nick Gage rushed to the rescue and helped Fatu out.
From this incident, it seems that Fatu and Gage have teamed up to face John Wayne Murdock & Reed Bentley’s team “The Rejects”.
